The GRAVEL ROAD FIDDLERS, started following a session of fiddling lessons given in the winter of 2010-11 by JJ Lavallee for children and youth, through a grant from Heritage Canada. In his spare time JJ taught a few adults some fiddle basics. 

Some of the adults and students continued to meet and practice together after the lessons ended. Then Bob Didier, a Maritime fiddler, volunteered to help out with instruction and introduced the group to new tunes until he had to return to New Brunswick.
