Scholarships and Bursaries
The citizens of the Métis Nation of Ontario are well
aware that the future strength of Métis culture rests
in the hands of Métis youth. As a consequence, the
MNO has focused a great deal of attention on training and
education. It encourages youth to participate at every level
in the conduct of MNO affairs.
Through a partnership with the Province of Ontario, the MNO
established a bursary trust fund at 32 colleges and universities
in the amount of $4.2 million. Because of this program, the
province contribute over $2 million to a perpetual fund in
which bursaries are paid from the interest accumulate annually.
