Summer, 1998
Steve knows a lot about moose!

Steve’s dad was a miner and a prospector and Steve learned much from his dad. Steve has staked claims as far away as the Fraser River valley in B.C. on contract to a large company, as well as staking claims in areas closer to home....When asked the easiest way for a rank amateur to spot ‘fools gold’, Steve laughs. ‘A magnet,’ he says. ‘Fools gold is iron pyrite....’”

“He drove transport for a number of years and saw a good deal of the country that way....”
