Bruce to Milton Project Update:
List of requirements for construction

November 26, 2009 --- On September 30, 2008, as part of the Bruce to Milton Transmission Reinforcement Project, the Métis Nation of Ontario and Hydro One signed an Engagement Protocol. The protocol was the first of its kind for the Métis Nation of Ontario and an industry partner. The protocol includes an agreement that Hydro One will work with MNO to provide regular updates about the project and identify and communicate any emerging opportunities to MNO Community Councils with a particular emphasis on employment and business opportunities.

Earlier this year Hydro One organized Information sessions for communities in the area of potential impact. They provided information about Hydro One business and identified employment opportunities arising from the project. Staff from Hydro One provided details about working for and doing business with Hydro One. As a result of these meetings, Hydro One has identified business and employment opportunities and has asked the MNO to make Métis citizens and businesses aware.
