Hydro One FNMI Scholarship

As part of our enduring commitment to increasing the representation of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit (FNMI) employees throughout our operations, we are actively engaged in encouraging and investing in students interested in careers within the electricity sector. In 2011, we launched the annual Hydro One FNMI Award, an educational scholarship that supports FNMI students in their related course of study at a recognized college or university program to help achieve this goal.

Each year, two students will be granted this academic award, which includes both a financial reward and a developmental work term.

The Application Deadline for this year’s Award has been extended to: JANUARY 31, 2013

Two awards are available annually to First Nations/Métis/Inuit students attending an Ontario university or college.

The award value is $5000 for a university recipient or $3000 for a college recipient.

The awards are given to a FNMI male and a FNMI female student who has completed a minimum of one year in an undergraduate program in one of the following areas:Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Civil or Environmental Engineering/Technology, Engineering Science, Forestry or Business.
