Report on Métis Education in Ontario's K-12 Schools

Anuik and Bellehumeur-Kearns Consultants recently completed an important research report for the Métis Nation of Ontario, Education and Training Branch. This ground breaking research examines barriers and opportunities for Métis education in Ontario's kindergarten to high school class rooms. Métis Nation of Ontario was funded to carry out this invaluable work in 2011. The researchers contacted school boards, directors of education, as well as government officials. The findings show that Métis education has come a long way and has a long way to go.
