Hello, my name is Julia Simon. I am currently a second year student at Algoma University in the Psychology program. I enjoy sports of all kind and I am currently a varsity curler for the university. Due to my love of athletics, I have developed a keen interest in traditional Métis dance. I also enjoy Métis crafting activities such as beading and finger weaving. If you would like to get in contact, feel free to email me at email@example.com. Looking forward in hearing from you soon!
Tara Yeates is a Métis woman with Mik’maq ancestry and is an adopted member of the Eagle clan. She is in her 4th year of a Honours Bachelor of Social Work Program at Algoma University and she is also pursuing a Minor in Fine Arts. Tara is preparing for her Master’s degree in Social Work as well as planning for further art therapy designation. Tara is currently working as a Research Assistant through the Anishinaabe Initiatives Division at Algoma University. This valuable information will contribute to the knowledge base of Métis history and contemporary experience and will be used to create a Métis informed social work curriculum. In her free time, Tara enjoys snowboarding, beading, and creating dot art. firstname.lastname@example.org
