The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is pleased to invite your participation in the inaugural MNO Health Summit 2015 to be held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Toronto on 22-24 February, 2015.
This landmark event will bring together results from the MNO’s program of collaborative research on Métis health, conducted in collaboration with partners from the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences, Ontario universities from across the province, federal and provincial governments, and organizations with an interest in Aboriginal health.
Of interest to researchers, policy makers, and front-line health professionals alike, Summit discussion topics include coronary heart disease, diabetes, cancer, respiratory disease, musculoskeletal disease, renal disease, mental health, and health risk factors in the provincial Métis population.
The Summit will also highlight ‘best practices’ in translating and implementing knowledge gained from research into concrete actions designed to bring about measurable improvements in Métis health outcomes.
The Summit begins on the evening of Sunday 22 February with an opening reception and welcome from MNO President Gary Lipinski, followed by presentations, panel and roundtable discussions from 8:30 am Monday, 23 February, to 2:00 pm Tuesday, 24 February. 2015.
While there is no fee to register, Participants are expected to arrange and pay for their own travel. Please note places are limited and assigned on a first come, first served basis.
