Métis Nation of Ontario
Housing Overview

The Métis Nation of Ontario Housing Branch operates out of and provides property management services for the Thunder Bay Métis Community Centre in Thunder Bay with a satellite office located in Innisfil, Ontario (near Barrie).

In addition to providing a fee for service in the programs listed below, the Branch boasts four highly qualified technical experts, contract administration and maintenance professionals, in-house certified Information Technical (IT) representation and is well-respected for its professional and efficient financial management history.

At the community level, Housing Branch is providing property management services for the Thunder Bay Metis Community Centre building in Thunder Bay . This cultural centre is the first building owned by MNO in the Province and much hard work was put into the proposal, acquisition and renovation of the property into the current multi purpose space of business, cultural training centre and banquet hall/community events centre.

As of this date, the Métis Nation of Ontario does not own a stock of rental housing specific to Metis but that is an initiative that is being developed and part of the long range plans for the Nation.
