Are You a Veteran? The MNO is on the search for our veterans. Are you, or do you know a veteran within our communities?

Did you know that if you served with the military long enough to achieve your trade qualification and received an honourable discharge, that you are now considered a veteran? Veteran status recognizes the potential risk that Canadian Forces members assume by donning the uniform and serving their country.

On March 29, 2001, the Minister of Veterans Affairs announced that the definition of "veteran" would be expanded to include all former members of the Canadian Forces, providing they achieved a Military Occupational Classification (MOC) while in the Forces and were honourably discharged. Essentially, a member is considered "MOC-qualified" upon completion of training for his or her chosen military occupation.

If you fit this definition or know someone who does, please contact:

Maurice Sarrazin or Jane Brennan
