Chris McLeod

I am 23 years old, originally from Aurora Ontario, and have just graduated from the Outdoor Recreation, Parks and Tourism program offered by Lakehead University in Thunder Bay Ontario. I have been working in the outdoors with camps, youth and corporate groups for over 6 years as an instructor, guide, facilitator and program director. Now that I am receiving my honors degree in Outdoor Recreation, a second major in Geography and a specialization in leadership I have decided to move on to Queens University where I will complete a one year Outdoor, Experiential Education program which will also outfit me with a shiny new teaching certificate. As an outdoor professional I have been involved in and instructed white water canoeing and kayaking, climbing, mountain biking, ropes and challenge courses, outdoor survival and skills, navigation and a large host of other outdoor, adventure pursuits.

Besides my active lifestyle in outdoor activities, I am also a musician who has performed and recorded professionally both individually and with a band. I write and record my own music and have played musical instruments (drums, guitar, piano, vocals, etc.) for over 12 years. This interest in recording arts has led to my interest in video and audio production and engineering and multimedia design. I recently started my own small business known as Gnat Multimedia which provides services such as website design, video production, editing and audio engineering. Finally, I am also very active as a cheerleader in Thunder Bay. I have been a member of Thunder Bay Storm, Lakehead University Thunderwolves and the Wolfpack, and hope to continue my participation
