Voyageurs Receive Eagle Feather
They were presented by Tony Belcourt to each of the seven Voyageurs and to Glen Lipinski, support crew, in a solemn ceremony around a sacred fire. The eagle feather presentation followed a pipe ceremony with four pipes - the Anishnabek Nation, the Metis Nation, the Chippewa and a Grandmothers Pipe. Photos of the ceremony were not allowed. Only after the ceremony where photos taken as sacred objects were placed in their bundles and the feather holders were distributed.
