Justice Within
The Law Commission of Canada recently had their funding eliminated by the federal government. Over the past nine years the Commission advised Parliament on how to improve and modernize Canada’s laws. They also produced an this discussion paper on Indigenous legal traditions. >>>

Métis Youth Global Adventure
This summer, 11 Métis youth from Ontario spent 14 days in Ecuador doing community service in Otavalo, an Indigenous community. This project was a partnership of MNO Training Initiatives and Canada World Youth. >

Aboriginal Education Policy
The MNO held a number of focus groups to review and provide feedback on the Ministry of Education's Draft Aboriginal Education Policy Framework. Métis educators, teachers, principals, parents and students participated. Copies of the MNO's and the province of Ontario's Aboriginal Education Framework Policy documents now available. >
