Starting Salary: $46,610 – $53,130, per year based on experience. Salary Range Max $60,600 [2022 Rates]

Summary of Role:
Reporting to the Acting Manager of the COVID Operations Team, the focus of the Operations Coordinators will be on customer service and application processes for community members related to COVID 19 Relief Program.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide customer service support to community members and clients accessing COVID 19 supports
• Delivery of associated program goals and objectives, as outlined by the Acting Manager of COVID 19 Operations
• Utilize functional knowledge and experience to meet organizational demands in a timely and effective matter, within budget, or the parameters of the funding agreement(s)
• Deal with confidential and sensitive issues in a timely manner, with tact and discretion as required
• Perform administrative and support duties such as monitoring work queues, general e-mail boxes, web ‘contact us’ requests, preparing briefing notes, program reports, presentations, or other materials to communicate and/or share knowledge and expertise
• Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the services, programs and supports offered
• Evaluate eligibility for programming
• Process purchase orders in support of the branch
• Complete funding applications from other stakeholders
• Keep an update to date OHATs filing system
• Other reasonable duties as may be assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
Required:
• Strong desire to act in the service of the Métis Citizens, to advance and uphold rights and culture
• Completion of post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Registration with a provincial governing body (for certain roles)
• High degree of technology literacy and proficiency in standard office equipment
• Advanced communications skills
• Superior organization skills and time/priority-management
• Highly detail-oriented
• Ability to work alone/independently with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred – Knowledge of indigenous (preferably Métis) culture, issues, and current activities

Assets – Bilingualism

Experience

Required – Demonstrated experience in a related field

Preferred:
• One year or more experience in a similar/comparable role
• Experience dealing with confidential information
• Experience working in coordinating and delivering programs and/or services
