Starting Salary: $47,540 – $54,190, per year based on experience. Salary Range Max $61,810 [2023 Rates]

The LRC Branch Coordinator will coordinate various activities in support of the LRC Branch.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Sort LRC notifications received in the general LRC e-mailbox by region.
- Respond to LRC Branch inquiries, and provide information by telephone, mail, email or in person.
- Ensure LRC Branch website is up-to-date.
- Prepare materials for LRC Branch website and brochures.
- Collect information from LRC staff for LRC Branch reporting.
- Provide administrative, clerical and research support and assistance as required.
- Review and assist with processing expense claims, purchase orders, airline and other travel arrangements (i.e., car rentals, hotels, etc.)
- In coordination with Head Office, arrange all travel, car rental and accommodations for staff as required.
- Maintain standard office supplies, and place orders for supplies as necessary.
- Photocopy, log, file and match completed purchase orders with invoices.
- Provide administrative support for meetings and engagement sessions.
- Assist with processing LRC notifications for MNO Regions 6, 8 and 9, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time by the Director of Lands, Resources and Consultations.
- Strong desire to act in the service of the Métis Citizens, to advance and uphold rights and culture.
- Experience working in and office environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (French would be considered an asset)
- Experience with computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite) and office equipment (Photocopier, postage machine etc.)
- Ability to type 50wpm.
- Attention to detail, accuracy.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to multi-task and the ability to assist with different types of requests often under pressure.
- Ability to remain flexible
- Experience in performing administrative duties and file management.
- Customer Service experience and orientation.
- Financial experience would be considered an asset, but not required.
- Good understanding of general office procedures and the use, care and maintenance of standard office equipment.
- Well-developed organizational and planning skills to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent typing and word processing skills.
- Ability to research and gather information in an efficient manner.
- Dependability, strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and ability to take direction.
- Willingness to expand knowledge of MNO’s mandate, structure, Métis History and Culture.
- Ability to travel when required.
- A ‘Can Do’ attitude
- Willingness to assist with different tasks and for different individuals with different.
- Willingness to work after hours and on weekends when required.
- Class ‘G’ Drivers License considered an asset.
