On Sunday June 12th, 2016 in Blind River, the Métis Nation of Ontario will be hosting a Community Information Session with the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) to provide an update regarding their Adaptive Phased Management (APM) process. The session will not only include a presentation from members of NWMO, but will also serve as an opportunity for a facilitated community discussion wherein questions and concerns may be voiced.
“Imagine it is 50 years in the future. You are elders in the Métis community in Ontario. What are you protecting? How are Métis people benefi ting? …” These questions and more will frame the guided discussion that will follow the community information session and lunch. Your involvement and input will help inform the MNO in future engagements with the NWMO. Lunch will be provided during this session.
