Invitation to Express Interest in Camping at MNO 31st Annual General Assembly

This year, the Métis Nation of Ontario’s 31st Annual General Assembly (AGA) is being held under a Big Tent at Discovery Harbour, a 30-acre living history attraction nestled along the shores of beautiful Penetanguishene Bay.

We are excited to provide a unique camping experience for AGA attendees at Awenda Provincial Park and welcome you to express your interest in experiencing the 31st MNO AGA under the stars!

Awenda Provincial Park, spanning over 2,900 hectares of forested land on the shores of Georgian Bay, is just a short 20-minute drive from Discovery Harbour. It offers six (6) campgrounds shared beneath sugar maples and red oaks with ample space to enjoy. All six campgrounds are serviced by drinking water taps, vault toilets and a central comfort station with flush toilets and showers. Laundry facilities are included at the comfort stations in Turtle, Hawk and Bear Campgrounds.

Immerse yourself in the exciting AGA atmosphere and make unforgettable memories, all while enjoying the scenic setting of along the shores of Georgian Bay.

How to Express Interest: If you are excited about camping at the AGA and want to secure your spot, please reply to this email or email events@metisnation.org  to let me know what type of site you would be interested in – Sites with electricity are limited.

Reserve your space now!

Please be advised that MNO has secured several camping spots for delegates attending the 31st MNO AGA. However, participants are responsible for covering camping fees, as well as providing their own equipment, as accommodation and travel expenses are not covered.

Camping accommodations will not be substituted for a hotel room in the event of inclement weather conditions.
