All Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) citizens are invited to join an online Ask the Expert Vaccine Town Hall from 7-9PM (EST) on Thursday, November 10th via Zoom and focused on the latest COVID-19 and vaccine developments.
The Town Hall will include an update from MNO Leadership as well as a health expert panel featuring Dr. Janet Smylie and Dr. Ryan Giroux. Both will be available to answer questions concerning what to expect as we head into another Fall and Winter season with COVID-19 circulating. Discussions will focus on how best to maintain health and well-being, and the changing landscape of available COVID-19 vaccines, including pediatric vaccines and boosters.
Dr. Smylie is a respected international leader in the field of Indigenous health. One of Canada’s first Métis physicians, her 25-year career has been focused on addressing inequities in the health of Indigenous peoples in Canada by bridging gaps in health knowledge and practice. Dr Giroux is a Métis pediatrician practicing at Unity Health Toronto.
