Incident Command System (ICS)

The Incident Command System (ICS) is the Canada-wide standard response system for all emergency scenarios. This system breaks down the delegation of responsibilities, roles and communications required to participate in emergency response. This training is being offered by Parks Canada personnel in collaboration with Métis Emergency Managers with the potential of both a 200 and 300 level course being offered. This training will be targeted towards operational level, Métis first responders and emergency managers to promote career development and “boots on the ground” capacity. A primary goal of MNC EM will be the development of a Métis staffed, operated, and funded Incident Management Team (IMT); that will provide direct EM preparedness and response to Métis citizens across the Motherland.

Should you have interest in taking part in this training, please fill out the intake form and email your most recent resume with your relevant emergency management experience to mnc_env@metisnation.ca.
