Ivèr: A Winter Métis Youth Cultural Camp
Friday, February 4th- Sunday, February 6th, 2022
Virtually through Zoom

The Métis Nation of Ontario is holding Ivèr: A Winter Métis Youth Cultural Camp on February 4th-6th, 2022  across the province virtually via Zoom!

The camp will be approximately 2.5 days in duration, and will host a variety of workshops focused on land-based knowledge, storytelling, cultural arts and community building. The camp schedule:

Friday, February 4th, 2022  (6-9 pm EST)
Saturday, February 5th, 2022 – (9 am- 4 pm EST)
Sunday, February 6th, 2022 – (9 am- 4 pm EST)

Programming will be in sync with the winter season and will engage Métis youth by exploring Métis culture and way of life. As in previous Métis Youth Cultural Camps the target age group is youth in Grades 10, 11, 12.

While the format is different from past years, the Ivèr: A Winter Métis Youth Cultural Camp will connect Métis youth to their culture and give them the opportunity to learn and practice traditional skills. Youth will interact with Métis knowledge holders, PCMNO Senators, MNO staff and facilitators in events and activities that span the duration of the camp.

Space is limited, so please register and complete the application as soon as possible. Participants can access the Métis Nation of Ontario Application Portal at https://metisnation.smapply.io/.

Deadline for applications: January 9, 2022 at 11:59 ET
