The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is holding an Ivèr: Métis Winter Culture Camp from February 1 to 4, 2020 at Fort William Historical Park in Thunder Bay, ON.
The winter camp, approximately 4 days in duration, will be water and land-based and will include programming in sync with the winter season. The age group targeted is the same as the previous Métis Cultural Camps – youth in Grades 10, 11, 12.
Many Métis youth seek to connect with their Métis culture and heritage, so the Ivèr: Métis Winter Culture Camp includes aspects of Métis history, way of life and culture in engaging outdoor activities. The Camp will engage youth through interactions with Métis knowledge-holders, MNO staff and facilitators in a variety of outdoor events/activities.
