The Métis Fiddler Quartet
It was announced August 20 that the Métis Fiddler Quartet is nominated for an Aboriginal Peoples Choice Award in the Best Fiddle CD category. The winners of Aboriginal Peoples Choice Awards are determined by on-line voting. The 7th annual Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards include nominees in 23 categories and awards will be handed out in Winnipeg over two nights in November. The RBC Ohshkii Awards Night takes place Thursday, November 1. The televised awards gala happens Friday November 2 at MTS Centre, with full broadcast on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network.
The Métis Fiddler Quartet are appearing at this year’s Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) Annual General Assembly (AGA) as part of the Sharing Our Pride: Métis Storytelling and Cultural Performance celebration.
