The MNO’s provincial, regional and local leadership invite all citizens to a half-day information session on Métis rights and outstanding claims in Northwestern Ontario.

The meeting includes:
∞ Presentation on the Daniels Case and Upcoming Métis Rights Litigation
∞ Information on the Recently Signed MNO-Canada MOU on Reconciliation
∞ Presentations on Recently Completed Research on Historic Métis Families in
Northwestern Ontario as well as other Historic Research
∞ Update on Discussions with Canada on Outstanding Métis Claims in
Northwestern Ontario, including the Halfbreed Adhesion to Treaty 3

Speakers and Presenters include:
∞ MNO President Margaret Froh
∞ MNO Regional Councilor Theresa Stenlund
∞ Jason Madden, Métis Lawyer and MNO Legal Counsel
∞ Ryan Shackleton, Historian (Know History)

In order to enable as many MNO citizens as possible to attend, the MNO will be arranging for buses to leave from Kenora, Dryden and Atikokan in the morning of March 25, 2017 (depending on interest).
