MNO announces Mitigating Risks for Isolated Families (MRIF) workshops

The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is pleased to invite all MNO citizens to take part in our Mitigating Risks for Isolated Families (MRIF) workshop. This virtual workshop is designed for the whole family to participate in together! Covering a wide variety of topics each workshop focuses on a different theme, including: Online Skills and Safety; Budgeting Basics and Healthy Communication; Physical Wellbeing and Stranger Danger; Digital Dependence and Healthy Screen-Time; House Safety and Safety Planning; and Mental Health and the Side Effects of Isolation.

MRIF will run multiple workshops consisting of 6 sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. A Samsung tablet, as well as a protective case, will be sent to participants so they are able to access the workshop. The tablet and case will be gifted to participants after the completion of all 6 sessions. Applications will open on August 2, 2021 and close on August 23, 2021.
