January 28 is recognized across Canada as Bell Let’s Talk Day. Introduced in 2010, the Let’s Talk initiative challenged stigmas and sparked a global conversation on mental health awareness.
We encourage you to join in the conversation on January 28 by using the hashtag #LetsTalk and by reaching out to those who may be struggling. Bell will donate 5 cents for every applicable text, call, tweet, or TikTok video using the #BellLetsTalk, to mental health initiatives in Canada.
The coronavirus pandemic has brought numerous challenges in our lives, including a profound effect on mental health. During these challenging times, it is important to practice self-care and to honour our relationships by checking in on family, friends and members of our communities.
The MNO is proud to add its voice and participate in this necessary, global conversation.
The MNO Mental Health and Addictions (MHA) offers services and supports to Métis families, including valuable resources like the 24-hr Crisis line (1-877-767-7572).
Our MHA team has also developed a suite of supports and services to aid Métis families in these stressful times. Learn more about new initiatives and services offered by MHA at: https://www.metisnation.org/programs-and-services/healing-wellness/mental-health-and-addictions-services/.
