On November 10, Provisional Council of the Métis Nation (PCMNO) Senator Verna Porter-Brunelle and MNO Employment Developer Rachelle Brunelle-McColl hosted an MNO display and information booth at the Georgian College campus in Midland.
Métis historical items were on display to promote Louis Riel Day on November 16 in addition to information regarding the many programs offered by the MNO for students.
Porter-Brunelle and Brunelle-McColl focused especially on the Métis Student Bursary program, a bursary dedicated to post-secondary Métis students. Georgian College is one of the 41 different post-secondary institutions that offer the bursary.
