(October 7 – Thunder Bay) — The MNO has extended its heartiest congratulations to all the candidates that contested the provincial election, but was especially pleased by the re-election of Minister of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry Michael Gravelle in the Thunder Bay-Superior North riding. “We are looking forward to building on our relationships with all Members of the Provincial Parliament and we are delighted to continuing the positive momentum between the MNO and Minister Gravelle. On behalf of the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) and MNO President Gary Lipinski, MNO Secretary-Treasurer Tim Pile has congratulated Minister Gravelle on his re-election. “Minister Gravelle is anxious to get back at it,” indicated Secretary-Treasurer Pile.

Lipinski also stated: “In the next several years the MNO expects to move forward with the McGuinty government on our mutual goals of strengthening the MNO; recognizing and promoting Métis history and culture; enhancing the well-being of Métis individuals, families and communities; and facilitating the recognition of Métis rights in Ontario.”
