The Métis Early Learning Camp is an opportunity for Métis early learners (between the ages of three and six), their siblings, and parents to experience Métis culture and way of life from an early learning perspective. Children will participate in hands-on play-based indoor and outdoor cultural activities in a safe and engaging manner. Parents will be able to learn more about programs and services offered by the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO).

Families are encouraged to prepare for the weather and pack snowsuits, boots, jackets, hats, mittens/gloves, scarves, and warm clothing for all family members attending the camp.
Families will have their own private accommodation with the option of bringing older siblings to the camp. Each cabin can accommodate 3-5 people (2 double beds and 1 single top bunk). Families with infants or toddlers are encouraged to bring a playpen.
This year the Early Learning Camp will be held at the Canadian Ecological Centre in Mattawa, ON. Selected families will have their accommodation, meals and travel covered by the MNO.
Space for this camp is limited. Due to the large interest in this camp, only applicants who submit complete forms prior to the deadline will be considered. Priority will be given to MNO citizens and their families; however, families who self-identify as Métis are also encouraged to apply.
