On March 22, Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) President Margaret Froh appeared as a guest on APTN’s Face-to-Face segment with Dennis Ward.
The interview covered a range of topics: including the Métis National Council (MNC) meeting last fall; the election of new MNC President Cassidy Caron; and a recommitment to ensuring the MNC moves in a new direction focused on transparency and accountability.
President Froh also provided clarification on MNO’s history and relationship with the MNC, and spoke to the context surrounding key decisions to release Registry review findings.
The interview also touched upon the MNO’s current self-government journey and engagement with MNO citizens:
“We are very excited to move forward to implement MNO’s historic Self-Government Agreement,” shared President Froh.
“Today within the MNO we are focused on moving forward, on building capacity at our local, regional and provincial levels of government and continuing to engage all Metis citizens on issues that matter to them, their families and communities.”
