National Indigenous Peoples Day 2021
A Message from the PCMNO
June 21, 2021
On National Indigenous Peoples Day we honour the contributions and achievements of all Indigenous peoples: the Métis, First Nations and Inuit.
In 2021, the MNO has much to be proud of. Great efforts have been made to support our communities and citizens and to advance our rights, all in the midst of a global pandemic. Despite the distances – we have strengthened our connections. Despite Covid-19’s challenges – we have worked hard to support one another.
The Provisional Council of the Métis Nation of Ontario (PCMNO) hopes all MNO citizens take time to celebrate our Métis culture, our way of life, our achievements and our resilience. Together, we have accomplished so much in advancing Métis rights. It would not have been possible without the contributions and dedicated of all.
We thank you for your inspiring efforts this past year, and wish you and your family a happy National Indigenous Peoples Day.
