The Nomination Deadline is January 15
The Ontario Medal for Young Volunteers acknowledges outstanding contributions made by youth volunteers across the province. Nine exceptional youth will receive the Ontario Medal for Young Volunteers — the highest honour a young person can achieve for their voluntarism contributions to the province.
Who is eligible?
Nominees for this medal must be between the ages of 15 and 24 and live in Ontario. These young people must have donated a large amount of time to a charity, a not-for-profit organization or a person and be a role model and inspire other young people to volunteer. How do I nominate someone? Any individual can nominate someone for this medal. You can nominate someone online
When is the deadline?
The deadline is January 15 of each year. If January 15 falls on a weekend or holiday, nominations will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. the following business day. All nominations received after the deadline will be considered for the following year. Nominations may be submitted at any time.
How are recipients selected?
An independent advisory council considers all nominations and selects the recipients.
How are the medals presented?
