The Métis Nation of Ontario is establishing a dedicated Métis education institute—a place where our voices, stories, and knowledge will thrive.

 

The Powley Institute will support Métis-led learning, culture, publishing, research, archives, and language—for the benefit of Métis people.

 

As a hub for Métis-led education, research, publishing, and cultural programming, the Powley Institute will serve communities across Ontario—grounded in our stories and guided by our people.

 

Citizens have called for this for years through resolutions at the AGA.

 

Now it’s happening. And this is your chance to help shape it.

 

Join the upcoming Citizen Town Hall to learn more about the Powley Institute and the draft Powley Institute Act—a proposed law that will guide how the Institute works, who it serves, and how it grows.

 

You’ll hear what’s planned, ask questions, and share your ideas.

 

 

The Powley Institute is about more than programs or policy. It’s about Métis pride. It’s about protecting who we are—and passing it on.
