On November 6 and 7, 2020 the MNO held its first ever Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) Virtual Annual General Assembly (AGA).

Last year’s event included a Virtual Kitchen Party the evening of November 6, 2020 and a full day of MNO business on November 7, 2020. The MNO was able to register citizens to participate in the AGA via Zoom as well as by telephone. A video recording of the 2020 AGA can be found here:

The MNO is also pleased to remind all MNO Citizens that the 2021 Virtual Annual General Assembly has been scheduled for the weekend of September 18th, 2021.

We invite MNO Citizens to provide their feedback on the 2020 AGA. The survey can be found here: www.surveymonkey.com/r/KXVHCTM. Your feedback will be crucial as planning for this year’s AGA is already well underway.

It should be noted that while there were several ordinary resolutions addressed at the 2020 AGA the platform did have some challenges and would not have been conducive for effectively addressing special resolutions. The MNO has been actively researching virtual platforms that could provide a forum for more robust debate and dialogue on both ordinary and special resolutions. More details will be shared as the planning continues.
