The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is hosting the third webinar in its Mental Health & Addictions’ Speaker Series, Screen Time during COVID: Why We’re Addicted and What We Can Do About It,” on October 13, 2020 at 7PM.
The webinar features advice and insight from guest expert Dr. Michael Cheng, who will focus on children and youth addictions to technology, strategies for coping during Covid-19, and connecting with family in meaningful ways.
During this event, participants will learn more about misuse of digital technology among children and youth and be given strategies for appropriate use of technology for young, developing brains. Métis families and participants will be able to ask questions throughout the webinar. Specifically, this event will address:
- What we need for mental health, wellness and resiliency,
- How modern society, in particular technology during COVID, can get in the way of this,
- What we can and must do about this as individuals and society
