The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) Youth Council is hosting its first annual Ontario Métis Youth Leadership Conference to be held on Wednesday August 16 and Thursday August 17 in Kenora, Ontario.
Youth who attend will participate in the Youth Leadership Conference starting on Wednesday, August 16 and will also attend the 2017 MNO Annual General Assembly (AGA) later in the week.
Youth will travel to Kenora on Tuesday, August 15 and return on Monday, August 21 after the Annual General Assembly (AGA) concludes.
All Métis youth are encouraged to attend; especially individuals who are:
- Members of the MNO Youth Council
- MNO Summer Youth Cultural Program (SYCP) staff members
- MNO Infinite Reach Facilitators
- Youth Representatives on a MNO chartered community council
Community Councils that currently do not have a Youth Representative are asked to encourage other youth from their community to apply. In situations where more than one youth applies from a council only one will be selected to attend due to funding availability. Should funding become available to permit additional youth to attend, you will be notified.
