To ensure the safety and wellbeing of Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) citizens, families and communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 AGA will be held virtually this year on to Saturday, November 7, 2020 and hosted by the Métis Nation of Ontario.
To participate in the MNO AGA, Citizens must register in advance
This year’s virtual AGA will be held using video-conferencing platform Zoom, which also provides online voting tools and infrastructure. Citizens without internet access may also participate in the AGA over the telephone.
We want to thank the Toronto and York Region Métis Council for their understanding as we defer their hosting of the AGA to a future year when it can be held in person
As details are confirmed in the coming weeks more information on how you will be able to participate in the virtual 2020 AGA will be posted here. Keep checking this space for information about:
- Pre-Registration is open and REQUIRED! Click the link to be taken to the Registration webpage
- How to sign in to the online voting platform (Citizens only)
- Join an All-Citizen Online Town Hall to practice using the voting platform in advance of the AGA on October 28, 2020. A recording of the Citizen Town Hall will be provided shortly.

Virtual Kitchen Party
While we wish we could gather in person, the MNO has a long history of welcoming guests, friends and family the evening before the MNO AGA with music and merriment.
This year we plan to hold a Virtual Métis Kitchen Party on the evening of November 6, 2020 and we would be delighted if you would join us.
See these amazing Métis performers and more: Alex Marusyk of Elysian Sun; Adam Smale; Alicia and Liam Blore; Cassidy Houston; Ken Lindsay; Will Cardinal; Jaime Morse; Leah Belle and more! Details to follow!
2020 AGA Elections
As per the MNO by-laws and Electoral Code, four different elections will held surrounding the AGA, including the Métis Nation of Ontario Women’s Council, PCMNO Senators, and the filling of vacancies on the Veteran and Youth Councils. These four elections traditionally happen at the MNO AGA. Due to Covid-19, all elections that are regularly held surrounding the AGA will be conducted virtually, with voting taking place on Sunday, November 8, for all contested elections.
