Our guest speaker, Lysandra Moreno, a citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario, brings a wealth of expertise. Ms. Moreno, an associate lawyer at Cooper, Sandler, Shime & Schwartzentruber LLP, specializes in representing individuals charged with criminal offenses, with a particular focus on Indigenous accused. She serves as the Indigenous Director of the Criminal Lawyer’s Association, co-chairs the Association’s Indigenous Committee, and is the Toronto Gladue court representative.
