Economic Development StrategyThe Infinity Investments structures are responsible for managing business activities on behalf of the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO). The MNO fulfilled the mandate of the Métis Nation of Ontario Prosperity and Self-Sufficiency Law by finalizing the creation of the Infinity Investments structures in 2015. All business interests are held through Métis Infinity Investments LP (“Infinity LP”) and managed by Métis Infinity Investments (GP) Inc. At present, Infinity LP is engaged in a number of businesses, partnerships and joint ventures (“JV”), including:

  • MNO Solar-BrightRoof LP (developing rooftop and ground mount solar projects)
  • Infinity-Proco JV (construction of temporary facilities at mine sites)
  • Infinity-Iron Range JV (ground transportation)
  • Infinity-Munro Construction JV (road building, excavation, major earth works)
  • Infinity Security (site security, facilities management)
  • NextEra/Infinity LPs (development of Large Renewal Projects in wind energy)
  • Infinity EPC Services (energy & large infrastructure Engineering/ Construction/ Procurement)
  • and others

The Infinity Investments structures have an independent board of directors and are managed by Chief Executive Officer Scott Patles-Richardson. The board of directors of Infinity Investments consists of:

  • Dr. Fred Lazar (Associate Professor, Department of Economics, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies, and Schulich School of Business)
  • Lindsay Boyd (Director of First Nations, Métis and Municipal Affairs for Union Gas Limited)
  • Brenda LaRose (Managing Partner, Higgins Executive Search)
