The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is pleased to offer the Early Childhood Educator Support Program (RECE Supports) to all MNO citizens with a complete registry file who are Registered Métis Early Childhood Educators (RECE’s). Through this program, Métis RECE’s will have the ability to have their Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) membership fees reimbursed. This includes the application fee and yearly renewal fee. This does not include reinstatement fees. In addition, Métis RECE’s can also apply to have up to $1500 per year reimbursed for professional development.

Through the RECE Supports Program, the MNO will reimburse the following professional development fees:

    • Additional Qualification (AQ) courses
    • Workshops
    • Seminars
    • Online courses
    • Books required for courses
    • Post-secondary courses – One course per semester
    • First Aid/CPR or Mental Health First Aid
    • Conferences
    • Webinars

To qualify for reimbursement through the RECE Supports Program you must:

    • Be a Citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario with a complete citizenship file
    • Reside in Ontario
    • Have proof of purchase for professional development or CECE fees
    • Be in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators or attending an Early Childhood Education Program though an accredited Post-Secondary Institution

Métis RECE’s provide high quality child care and early learning programing across the province and we appreciate all the hard work and dedication they provide to their students. RECE’s play an extremely important role in a child’s early development and often go above and beyond to support best practices in their learning environment.
