The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is pleased to offer the Métis Employability Program. The goal of the Program is to increase the employability of Métis people through specialized support that will reduce existing barriers to employment opportunities. This programming can be delivered through a special project or an individual client contract. To be eligible for this Program you must be a Métis individual who is unemployed, under-employed, or whose employment is at risk due to the labour market changes, insufficient employment skills, or certification. Funding from the Program can be utilized for pre-apprenticeship training.

- Counseling
- Financial planning
- Job search strategy information
- Diagnostic services
- Job readiness activities
- Literacy enhancements
- Skill upgrading opportunities
- Job finding club activities
Costs covered through this Program include:
- Criminal Records Checks
- Pardons
- CPR courses
- First Aid courses
Funding from this Program can also be used for purchasing proper work related attire including work boots, uniforms, coveralls, safety glasses, or any items deemed necessary for a participant to enter the labour market successfully.
