The following is a description of the other scholarships and bursaries the MNO offers through our partner organizations. These scholarships and bursaries are offered in addition to the MNO Bursary Endowment Fund and the major targeted bursaries that the MNO offers.


TC Energy Scholarships

Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) industry partner TC Energy have a number of scholarships available to Métis students. The TC Energy Program offers scholarships to students in three categories which include 77 scholarships specifically for Indigenous students. This includes the TC Energy Indigenous Legacy Scholarship of $5,000, the TC Energy Community Leaders Scholarship of $2,500, and the TC Energy Trades Scholarship of $2,500. RBC Indigenous Student Internship Program

The RBC National Indigenous Student Internship Program offers students first hand exposure and the opportunity to get a head start in different areas at RBC such as Finance, Sales and Services, IT, Marketing, and HR. The Program provides a challenging but rewarding experience that will help students learn and grow along with the opportunity to receive advance full-time employment offers for those who excel in the Program.

Hydro One Awards Scholarships

Hydro One is committed to supporting Métis, First Nations, and Inuit students who are interested in pursuing careers within the electricity sector. The award is granted annually to students studying in energy industry related disciplines at a recognized university or community college. In addition to a cash award recipients will be offered a paid work term and summer position with Hydro One.

Kathleen Blinkhorn Aboriginal Student Scholarship Fund

Each year, the Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association offers five scholarships of $2,000 to Indigenous students who reside in non-profit housing in Ontario. This funding is available to help Indigenous students with their post-secondary education costs including tuition, books, technology, and transportation.

Indspire: Building Brighter Futures

Thanks to the generosity of numerous corporate and government partners each year Indspire disburses funds to Indigenous youth across Canada covering all disciplines in funding categories such as: Fine Arts, Oil and Gas, Trades and Technology, Health Careers, and Post-secondary Education.

Student Work Abroad Program

Government of Canada Indigenous Bursaries

The Government of Canada’s Indigenous Bursaries Search Tool gives Métis, First Nations, and Inuit students access to more than 750 bursaries, scholarships, and incentives for post-secondary education.

The Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Canada is dedicated to helping Indigenous students reach the highest standard of excellence in finance and management.
