Alicia Brink will represent Region 2 on the Provisional Council of the Métis Nation of Ontario (PCMNO)

At the September 17 meeting of the PCMNO, a secret ballot vote was held to appoint a new PCMNO Regional Councillor and fill a vacancy in Region 2.

Alicia brings a wealth of experience as an educator and community advocate. Alicia is a certified teacher specializing in English and Outdoor Experiential Education and has worked in post-secondary education for over ten years as a professor, navigator, and manager. Alicia a skilled beadworker, carver, and storyteller.

MNO President Margaret Froh extended thanks to all candidates who put their names forward for the position. “The work of our leadership—at the local level, within the PCMNO, and across our regions—requires dedication, collaboration, and a shared vision,” said President Froh. “On behalf of the PCMNO, I want to thank all those who stepped forward and congratulate and welcome Alicia as Region 2 Regional Councillor.”

The MNO would also like to extend their thanks to former Region 2 PCMNO Councillor Tim Sinclair for his dedication to both his community and the broader organization through his work on the PCMNO.
