The Community Wellbeing Branch provides health and wellbeing programs. This aligns with objectives in the Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) Statement of Prime Purpose.
The objectives are to:
- provide care and support necessary to meet the fundamental needs of the citizens of the Métis Nation; and
- promote the improved health and wellness of the individual, family, and the whole Métis
The branch provides service through three main programs:
- Mental Wellness
- Community Wellbeing
- Advocacy
Our programs are wholistic and rooted in culture. We support individuals on their journey to wellbeing. This will look different for everyone and we accept people where they are at. We provide direct client services, client navigation, and workshops. We offer services both in-person and virtually. Our hope is to connect people with the specific services they need. This may be done through referrals to other programs.
