MNO Extends Condolences to the Family of Julia Mary Hazell

The Métis Nation of Ontario extends its sincere condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Julia Mary Hazell, who passed away on June 30, 2026.

A proud Métis woman, Julia’s life reflected a deep connection to family, community, and culture. She will be remembered for the experiences she carried, the knowledge she shared, and the relationships she nurtured throughout her life.

As we honour Julia’s memory, we also recognize the important role Métis women and matriarchs have played in preserving culture, supporting families, and strengthening future generations.
