In Memoriam: Margaret Elizabeth Raynor
The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is saddened to share the passing of Margaret Elizabeth Raynor, a citizen of the Georgian Bay Métis Community, who resided in Tiny, Ontario.
Margaret was widely respected for her contributions to the preservation and promotion of Métis art, culture, and history. An accomplished artist and culture bearer, she worked tirelessly to ensure Métis traditions and identity were shared, remembered, and celebrated within her community and beyond.
In recognition of her lasting impact, Margaret was recently awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal, honouring her commitment to strengthening Métis culture and heritage.
Margaret’s work leaves a meaningful legacy that will continue to benefit future generations. The Métis Nation of Ontario extends its sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew her.
