The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) was proud to have President Margaret Froh participate in the 2025 Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference.

As part of the launch of the Indigenous Reconciliation Action Plan (IRAP), President Froh joined a panel of Indigenous leaders to share perspectives on reconciliation and the importance of collaboration with municipalities across Ontario. She highlighted the unique role of the Métis Nation and the need for partnerships that honour Métis voices, rights, and responsibilities.

The IRAP provides a roadmap for municipalities to build stronger relationships with Indigenous governments and communities. It outlines practical steps municipal leaders can take to support truth, respect, and partnership, while ensuring Indigenous perspectives are meaningfully included in decision-making.

With Métis leadership at the table, the MNO continues to work to ensure reconciliation efforts reflect the needs and priorities of Métis citizens, while strengthening relationships with municipalities throughout the province.
