New Workshop Series ‘Seasons of Change’ Helps Métis Families Support Early Childhood Development
Get ready to grow, play, and learn—season by season with the Métis Nation of Ontario’s (MNO) Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC)!
The MNO ELCC Developmental Resource Consultant (DRC) Team is excited to launch a new quarterly workshop series designed to support Métis families with children aged 0–12.
This four-part virtual workshop series “Seasons of Change” invites parents, grandparents, and caregivers to explore creative, practical ways to support early childhood development through every season. Each session will highlight fun, all-weather activities and offer tips to navigate the unique joys and challenges of each time of year. From outdoor adventures to cozy winter crafts, the series ensures that learning and fun are always in season!
Participants will have a chance to win early learning-themed door prizes at each session and be entered into a year-end draw for a special grand prize. The more sessions you attend, the greater your chances of winning!
Seasons of Change – Workshop Dates
- June 25, 2025. 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM EST
- October 1, 2025. 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM EST
- January 7, 2026. 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM EST
- March 18, 2026. 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM EST
Eligibility Criteria:
- At least one parent, guardian, or grandparent must be a Métis Nation of Ontario citizen eligible for direct benefits under MNO Policy #2021-001.
- Families must have at least one child or grandchild between 0 and 12 years old.
- Participants must have internet access and a device to join the Zoom sessions.
