Reminder for Families Approved for the Extracurricular Program

Extracurricular Program

The first receipt submission deadline is October 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (EDT).

  • Families must submit receipts covering at least 50% of their grant, and at least one activity must be included.
  • Submissions that do not follow the guidelines will not be accepted.
  • Families who miss this deadline will not be able to participate in the program for the remainder of the year. They may reapply in March 2026.

The final deadline for all remaining receipts is March 6, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. (EST).

How to Submit

  • Submit receipts using the SMApply Portal: ELCC Extra Curricular Portal.
  • A confirmation email will be sent automatically to the address listed in your Citizen Information section (please check your spam or junk folders).
  • ELCC staff cannot confirm receipt of your application by email.

Helpful Hints

  • Review this guide carefully—they answer most questions.
  • If you have concerns about eligible activities, email elccsupport@metisnation.org (attention: Emma, Program Supervisor) by October 21, 2025.
  • ELCC staff cannot approve or accept receipts by email.
  • Receipts must be clear, readable, and unaltered.
  • Payment dates must be on or after April 1, 2025.
  • For online purchases, receipts must show the transaction generated after the item has shipped.
  • E-transfer proof must be the full detailed summary, not the abbreviated banking transaction.
  • Hockey Canada submissions must include both invoice and receipt (proof of payment).
  • Multiple receipts can be uploaded in one submission.
  • Each child must be entered separately—even if one receipt covers two children.
  • Receipts from different retailers, organizations, or dates must be uploaded separately.
  • Banking information changes can take up to four weeks to process.
  • Reviewing your submission may take 6–8 weeks due to program demand.
  • Appeals for late or incorrect submissions cannot be accepted.
  • Families are encouraged to download the MNO Education Hub app for up-to-date program information.
