  • Gathering knowledgeable and passionate citizens to provide recommendations to the MNO as we work to develop environmental policies across the Métis Nation
  • Developing a longer-term plan for how the Métis Nation can further its goal of being good environmental stewards
  • Providing greater clarity on how the MNO can carry out its duty to protect and preserve the land and waters within our homelands for future generations, as stated in our Statement of Prime Purpose
The PCMNO invites interested MNO citizens to submit their name for consideration for appointment to the Working Group. Those interested in joining the Working Group should:

  • Have a demonstrated interest in this area of work
  • Possess a general knowledge of environmental science, systems and policy
  • Understand the current threats and impacts of environmental issues on Métis communities
  • Recognize that their role on this Working Group involves providing their best advice for creating environmental policies for the MNO
Completed expressions of interest (see below) should be sent by email Cassidy Press, MNO Climate Change Advisor, Métis Nation of Ontario at CassidyP@metisnation.org.
