Webinar: Navigating the Holidays for Neurodivergent Children and their Families

Wednesday, December 3, 2025 | 7-9p.m. EST

Registration Period: November 12 to Dec 1, 2025

The Holidays can be particularly challenging for parents & caregivers of neurodivergent children or those with their own diverse needs who may require a little extra support. Changes in routine, travelling to new places, and increased free time during the holiday season can all cause stress and anxiety for both the child and the caregiver.

To help you navigate this, the Early Learning and Child Care Developmental Resource Consultants are offering a workshop that will provide practical tips and strategies to make the holidays less stressful and more enjoyable for you and your child.

The goal is to provide practical tools and strategies for making the holiday season less stressful and more enjoyable for you and your child.

Together, this workshop will highlight:

  • Ideas for creating structure and visuals to help manage days at home or while visiting
  • Suggestions for helping children manage free time at home
  • Preparing for travel, including ideas for sleep, meals, and activities
  • Strategies for communicating with family members
  • Tips for dealing with worries around gift-giving and opening presents
  • Setting healthy family boundaries
  • Self-care strategies for busy parents & caregivers

To take part in the Family Workshops, families must:

  • Have at least one child or grandchild between 0 and 12 years old.
  • Have a parent, guardian, or grandparent who is an MNO citizen.
  • Be able to connect to Zoom using the internet and a device.

We look forward to seeing you there!
